NEW MONTHLY AUTISM FRIENDLY SESSIONS

NEW MONTHLY AUTISM FRIENDLY SESSIONS

The Art of the Brick: DC Super Heroes, the world’s largest LEGO® exhibition inspired by DC characters, is pleased to announce that in association with the charity Autistica, autism friendly sessions will be held on the last Sunday of every month at 9am to allow those with autism and their families to experience and enjoy the exhibit in a relaxed environment. Quiet areas will be provided along with advance information sheets to assist with planning and arrival.

Legendary LEGO® artist Nathan Sawaya took London by storm in 2014 with his extraordinary exhibition THE ART OF THE BRICK®. Together with Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment, he returned to the UK with his latest exhibition inspired by the world’s most popular and enduring Super Heroes and Super-Villains drawn from DC’s Justice League, including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, alongside DC Super-Villains The Joker, Harley Quinn and more. The exhibition books through until 3rd September.

The Art of the Brick: DC Super Heroes includes more than 120 large scale exhibits made from over 2 million LEGO® bricks, all displayed in a purpose built space on London’s South Bank, just minutes from Waterloo Station.

Autistica is a leading UK autism charity that carries out research and campaigns to build longer, healthier, happier lives for those with autism and their families.

Jon Spiers, Chief Executive of the charity, said: “We know it is often difficult for parents of children with autism to have a family day out but it’s so important that we give them the chance. As a research charity, a lot of the work we do is about changing the future for families living with autism, but we want to do what we can to help right now. By advising Art of the Brick: DC Superheroes to make small adjustments to their events, hundreds of families with autistic children will now find it easier to plan a visit to the exhibition. We’re proud to be involved with these autism friendly sessions and are grateful to the organisers for their support of our longer term research work.”
